November 14th we will be coming alongside a widow local to Charlotte, NC while also raising funds for our 2027 birth mom retreat. This is a way for you to sponsor a widow and a birth mom at the same time!
What is a BothHands project?
With 30 birth moms currently on our waitlist for the spring 2027 retreat, we are partnering with BothHands to raise the funds to make it happen. Unfortunately, the past few retreats have been a nail-biting, stressful time of “Will we fill spots? Will we raise the funds needed?” Obviously, it worked out before, but to protect our hearts, resources, time, and help our retreat attendees be able to plan, we have a goal to fully fundraise ahead of time.
We also hope to lower their personal investment for this high-quality adventure retreat. Your help with this project will help to make this retreat accessible to more birth moms who have financial needs yet are invested in growing in community (many need scholarships and travel help to attend). Your sponsorship gift makes that possible!

On Saturday, November 14th is our service day to care for a widow in our community named Emily. She is a hardworking teacher and mom of two young boys and a widow after her husband’s sudden passing a few years ago. Help us love on Emily! There will be tasks anyone can do as we help her in her yard and with some projects outside. If you are a handy person, even better for a few special needs!

Of course, the goal is to financially support our spring retreat while serving Emily, so we welcome donations! We currently have 30 birth moms waiting for the retreat applications to open yet we cannot open the doors until we are funded. That’s enough birth moms to need TWO retreats!
