Hi friends, I'm Leah

“Nicknamed the gentle-spirited storyteller, Leah shares her story with compassion and educates with grace.”

My passions have stemmed from defining moments of my life. The times when I was unfortunately at my lowest, yet I was fortunate enough to have a positive, grace-filled support system to uphold me. A support system that included my daughter’s adoptive parents. A support system that changed my trajectory and healing, and that’s what I hope to pass along to others.

As a birth mom of over 21 years, we’ve walked through childhood and into adulthood together, and my daughter’s parents have loved me (and her!) well throughout. Today I share my experiences of being on the receiving end of that love, inclusion, and care to help the adoption community know how to improve. We’ve lived what can work in beautiful ways, while balancing the realities of the hard days, and I hope to improve relationships and outcomes within adoption. I’ve been sharing our story through writing and speaking since 2004. I feel truly fortunate to have worked with hundreds of families individually, as well as sharing on platforms including Brave Love, EVIE magazine, Focus On the Family, Her View From Home, and Epoch Times.
